we chose every ingredient. here's why.
We didn't buy a ready-made formula and put our name on it. We went back and forth with the lab more than twenty times — adjusting how it absorbs, how it feels, how it smells. Most of that work you can't see on an ingredient list. You notice it the first time you use it.
Ingredients are listed by amount, so what's near the top is what there's most of. Squalane sits right after water. It's close to the oil your skin already makes, so it absorbs instead of sitting on top. It's expensive, which is why most brands put it near the bottom — or leave it out.
